The History of American Colors:
From Gel Coat Manufacturer to Pigment Dispersion Innovator
American Colors was established in Sandusky, Ohio in 1975 as a gel coat manufacturer. However, in the mid-90s, the company decided to sell its gel coat division and instead concentrate its efforts on producing pigment dispersions. This strategic decision enabled American Colors to broaden its market share and diversify into a variety of industries.
